Restoring identity through maritime traditions.

The work doesn’t happen in a circle of chairs. It happens sideways, in a boat and around a table, with people who understand each other without having to explain.

WHO WE SERVE

Peer-led retreats on the water in Maine and New Hampshire for Veterans, First Responders, and Intelligence Community professionals. Six people. One week. No cost to them.

Not a vacation. Not a clinic. A crew.

Intimate cohorts

Six per retreat

Six participants per retreat, so trust forms quickly and no one hides in a crowd.

Maritime traditions

On the water

Reading fishing waters, hauling traps alongside local lobstermen, and navigating the York River as a crew.

Peer-led connection

Shoulder to shoulder

Led by people who have walked the same road. Real understanding, no forced sharing.

A week on the water, late spring through early fall.

Retreat weeks cover the boat time, local guides, meals, lodging, and travel to the retreat. Participants pay nothing.

6 people per cohort

$0 cost to participants

6 retreats planned for 2027: 4 on the ocean, 2 on fresh water

36 people served each year

More than forty people from the York community came out for our first retreat.

August 31, 2026. York PD and Ogunquit PD. The American Legion. The York Senior Center. Army, Air Force, and Intelligence Community folks on the dock, with family and friends of the Foundation.

“Guests went fishing. Guests went sailing. Some spent the day on the water doing nothing in particular, which is its own kind of medicine.”

From our first retreat, August 31, 2026

Every dollar sends someone to the water.
